A Celebration Indeed!
Updated: Aug 25, 2022
Orlando’s iconic running store, Track Shack, celebrated their 45th anniversary as they kicked off their 2022-23 six-race running season this morning with the Celebration of Running 5K at Cultural Park. More than 1,300 participants – from fleet of feet to fitness walkers – wove through 3.1 miles of old Orlando’s asphalt and dew-slicked brick roadways.
From its humble beginnings in 1977, Track Shack and it’s owners have helped thousands enjoy the magic of movement through perfect shoe foot fit, clinics, training camps and 100s of races. Their Event Marketing and Management (EMMI) division has directed and managed some of biggest events in the southeast including Walt Disney World Marathon and the 50+-thousand participants in the Peachtree 10K in Atlanta as well as the 2016 Olympic Trials at the LA Marathon. They also own the OUC Half Marathon in Orlando.
A HUGE CONGRATS to Track Shack owners Jon and Betsy Hughes for their consistent success over multiple decades! Read some of Track Shack's history here.
