The 3rd annual Family Challenge Tri
on July 28 is an event that is unique for its its dual dimensions. It is highly competitive as well as a the perfect
opportunity for first-timers and families. Offering awards for individuals in five-year age groups as well as three relay
categories, entire families can compete as a team against their neighbors, racing to have their names engraved on the 'Fisher
State Farm Fastest Family' crystal vase. Toss in grandmothers serving post-race goodies including ice-cream and the best
door prizes in the county, you have an event that the entire family will love. Complete race information and entry can be

This race is not meant to be a one-day
affair nor another opportunity to pile the family into the SUV so Mom and Dad can cheer for Junior and Sis from the sidelines.
The purpose is to pull the family together for a few weeks of whole body fitness. Perhaps you'll challenge your friends
for neighborhood bragging rights. On race day, Mom may be in the pool with Dad and Sis cheering as they ready themselves for
the bike and run. Junior may be swimming near mom, doing the entire race on his own.
Whatever the results are on
race day, the real benefits are long term. You have just spent a few weeks working together as a family. On the way home,
Junior may turn to Mom and say "I bet with a little more training you can take a minute off of your swim. We will have
to start training earlier next year."
